Superbowl Sunday

Sundays don't feel right in not attending church.  Fortunately for us, we have a church just across the street from Banana Bay.  We have visited there many, many times as Donnie's sister/bro-in-law and parents attend there.  After church we came back to the boat to grill smoked sausages with peppers and onions for lunch, and then opted to take Willis on a new adventure...a ride in the dink!

Safety first!

While he looks none
too pleased here, he
actually did really
well- for about 30
minutes, then he got
too hot and started
panting like a big
cat. People were
amazed we had a
cat in a boat! Such
a Willis...

After the boat ride, we went for a swim in the pool. Then it was time to get ready for the Superbowl Party at Bryan and Polly's.  We had more food than we knew what to do with, including Kenny's world-famous clam chowder, and fresh fish from their catch the other day.  We ate far too much, but had a great time doing it!

Here's "The Boys" modeling their new Tshirts- what a riot!
So, these shirts need an explanation, here's the close up view...

When "The Boys" go fishing, they take Kenny's boat, so he is the chief duck, honking out the orders to his mates. Donnie is ignoring Kenny, as he often does, and simply makes a joke about Kenny.  Bryan and sitting and stewing over it all, as he REALLY wants to say something pissy to Kenny.  Dan, on the other hand, is the peacemaker of them all, trying to keep Bryan under wraps.  Then there's Mac...like father, like son, always up for a laugh, so he's showing off his bird legs. Hey Mac, are those your legs or are you riding a chicken?!  We never had so much with dollar shirts from Daffy Doug's!
Good times!

Sharalee and Jean yucking it up!

Dave and Diane, still happy after all these years!

Donnie's feeding Fran some "chawcolate"!

Polly and Bryan...he was well on his way to feeling no pain :)

Chief Kenny and Fran, of Basket Case Crabs in Frisco,
North Carolina in the Outer Banks- a great couple!

Bryan and Donnie doing what they do best!
After the party, we 'retired' to Mac and jean's to watch the Superbowl.  Unfortunately our 'numbers' from the marina pool didn't pay out, but it was a great game to watch.  Wonder what the next occasion for a party will be?!

  1. No need for an occasion. Just being in the Keys is enough to celebrate!
