Willis T was not in bed with us this morning as usual...I found him snoozing on the chart table. I think he's trying to tell us he's ready to go sailing somewhere beautiful...or he's trying to hide the charts so we can't! Don't tell him we have a fancy chart plotter so his plot is foiled :)
I did my banking business then worked in the galley this morning while Cap'n was out running errands.  I made a batch of salsa, then some tuna salad. Willis was on the receiving end of an empty can of tuna...it was paw-lickin' good :) Cap'n came back in time to down an entire quart of Kenny's world famous clam chowder, then it was up to the pool for the afternoon.
It sprinkled off and on all afternoon, but that didn't stop the gang from playing a game of chickenfoot poolside today.
Kenny was the winner of the rubber chicken. If the bird doesn't behave, he'll likely to find himself in a pot of Kenny's chowder.
Willis stayed in the boat most of the day.  He no sooner left for the mangroves and it started to pour down rain.  He was one wet, disgusted pussycat.  He hates to be wet.
Between rain showers, Donnie grilled burgers and we had Mamaw and Paps over for dinner.  They will be leaving Friday, and most everyone else is leaving this weekend.  The snowbirds will all start migrating north.  The wind was really cranking, and Mamaw was holding on so she wouldn't blow away!

We are in for a cold snap the next few days...overnight lows in the 50's, high only in the mid 60's during the day.  We have a cold north wind blowing 25-35 tomorrow.  We wouldn't be going to the Bahamas anytime soon, even if Bessie was running properly.  The weather just has not cooperated much for the fisherman or the boaters this spring.  It's a good time to hunker down and do some spring cleaning on the boat.  Until then, it's in the low 70's now, the wind is blowing, and my teeth are chattering!  I'm not cut out for the cold anymore.  I guess I am a true snow bird, too, these days.  Time to get under the covers...G'nite, y'all!
