oh, the places you'll go

Willis got his travelling papers from the Bahamas today- he is good to go!  And...it looks like we got a good weather window to take Ellen on a sailing and scuba diving trip to the Dry Tortugas.  The anchorage at Fort Jefferson is beautiful.  If we leave by 9pm when she flies in on Monday, we will get there before sundown on Tuesday. Perfect :)  I'm anxious to untie the dock lines and get sailing again.  We need a shakedown cruise before we leave for the Bahamas anyhow.  Bessie will need an oil change and tuned and adjusted by Joel in the coming weeks and we need to get more hours on her before then.  So, I'm looking forward to packing and provisioning on Sunday...I'm just weird like that ;)

As for now, the NW wind is a steady 20-25knots, and Marquesa is creaking, squeaking, vibrating, groaning, and bucking in the waves.  Lovely.  Time for some Tylenol pm, some earplugs, and to call it a night.  G'nite, y'all!

PS.  If you were wondering....I did get started on polishing the stainless...but the cold wind moved in this afternoon and it was miserable, so I gave it up for another day.  The wind should lay down and it should warm back up after this front moves through tomorrow.  It's looking to be back in the 80's by Sunday- hooray!
