shopping!

You would have thought it was Black Friday here in the
Keys.  Beall's was having a grand opening, and people
brought their lawn chairs to wait in line.  There were
scratch off cards with additional discounts to the first
fifty guests.  Where's Lucille?!

The Turtle Hospital was there for the festivities.
Ellie had to meet Zippy, an 18 month old Hawksbill.

Fran got her face painted :)  We all found bargains
galore.  Ellie and I got clothes for work, Mom got some
new outfits, Fran and Lucille scored big, too, and
Kenny joined us after his workout for some bargains.
It was nearly a three hour shopping spree!

Mom, Ellie and I had lunch at the Hurricane, then I put a pork tenderloin
in the crockpot to make BBQ's for dinner.  What's left to do but get
some more sunshine at the pool for the afternoon!

The Tiki Bar opened up and Momma was having a hankerin' for a mango daiquiri.

Cheers, y'all!

Late in the day, the wind continued to build.  It was out of the NW, which is the worst possible for us.
We get no protection at all, and we are slammed into and bounced off of the dock.  As I tried to get dinner together, it was miserable.  At the last minute, I decided to bail out of Marquesa and we took our dinner to Mom and Ellie's room over at Black Fin Resort.  I stayed and watched the Olympics with them in their room, hoping the wind would calm down some before bed.  It did, and it was a pretty good sleep after all.  G'nite, y'all!
