Farewell Dinner with friends

No pics tonight...who wants to see blood shot eyes and a tear-streaked face?!  On the plus side, the forwarding mail request is complete, and both Simon and Willis went to the vet today to have their exams, shots, meds and health certificates.  They're as expensive as having a boat!  Simon will be staying home with Grandma, but Willis the cat is joining us on this grand adventure.  I inquired about a tranquilizer for the plane ride, to which the doctor replied that it would not stop the howling, as it will only make him feel drunk.  A drunk, howling cat sounds like no fun at all, to which Donnie told the vet that "We'll just have to get drunk on the plane so as to not be bothered by the cat!"  :)  My honey does "make a funny" sometimes!  We did spring for the pherome glade-like plug-in for the boat, that only cats can smell, and it is to have a calming effect on them...in case of seasickness...my fingers are crossed.  So, no Bonine for kitties...boo.

Rick the boat mover called, and Marquesa is safely at his boatyard in Columbia. We will actually be one day ahead of schedule as the crane is coming Wednesday now rather than Thursday. More good news!

...and then back to the reality of really leaving.  Tomorrow we move Ellen to Purdue...more sad goodbyes.  Monday we move Emily to Anderson University.  Tuesday, we move us to the airport bound for Charleston.  The vet would not give me a tranquilizer either, hmph.
