Holy smokes, it's cold!

The cold front came in as predicted, and the wind has not
laid down all day. It never even reach 60 degrees today.
In case that video didn't upload, here's what the view is outside our
window.  The docks are not wet from rain, but from the waves that
were splashing up onto the docks overnight.  Even this morning,
there were still white caps coming into the marina.  It even looks cold.
I realize cold is relative.  We could be dealing with -13 and over a foot of snow.
Our friend, Greg, checked on our log cabin today for us when he went to
check on Mom.  I must admit, the woods looks beautiful :) But, COLD.
Willis peaked his head out of the boat, when Kenny came
by this morning, but it was even too cold for him.
He bolted down the ladder and went back to bed. Smart cat.
This was the view looking out the marina.  It's still white capping out there.
The good news is the wind is now more N/NE.  Even though it's still
blowing 20mph out there today, it is blowing us off the dock, so
no more banging and squeaking of the fenders.  Squeaks drive me crazy.
When the wind blows from the north, it picks up the sea
grass from the Gulf and it all piles up at the front of
the marina.  The launch ramp is full of the stuff.  Once
it warms up, the grass then starts to rot and stink,
until we get a south wind that blows it all back out to sea.

We had a late start this morning, and didn't get to the gym until 11am.  After
our workout, we ran some errands (distilled water to top off the batteries,
a new water hose to replace the one damaged last night). By 2pm, we
were ready for lunch- at Fish Tales!  They have WONDERFUL German
food, which we love.  This was the Bavarian Dolphin sandwich- YUM!
Thank you, Dave & Diane, for the gift certificate for Christmas :)
Cap'n got the furnace on Marquesa fired up before we left
today.  It hasn't been used in four years, since we were coming
down the ICW in January 2010.  Marquesa was nice and
toasty when we returned to the boat later this afternoon.
I wasn't taking any chances though, this girl needed a Cuban coffee!
Cap'n now has the new water hose connected, so I best go tend to the dishes in the sink.  It's time to be thinking about rustling up something for dinner, too.  I think a hot tub is in order for this evening.
What are you all doing to keep warm?! G'nite, y'all!
