Happy Birthday, Paps!

It was another long full day for us with family.  Today it was to celebrate Pap's 81st birthday!  We all attended church together, then went to Dave and Diane's for a delicious dinner of Shepherd's pie and black eyed peas- just the way Paps likes it!

After dinner, Kenny and Fran joined us at 2:00pm for the big
birthday party.  We were all treated to Diane's jello cake- YUM!
We took a break mid-way through our hot game of chickenfoot dominoes
for Paps to open his presents.  He had a bit of a Duck Dynasty theme going.
Paps never could grow a full beard, but now he can-
with his Uncle Si Chia pet!
Sadly, the birthday boy did not win Adolph von
Chikenfoot. Yours truly did, instead.  It was such
a rousing game, that we all needed to put our
feet up afterwards to watch Peyton Manning
and the Denver Bronco's win- yay!
Though I am just a daughter-in-law, I feel like I can safely speak for all of
the children, grand children, and great grandchildren. Eighty-one years
old, and coming up on sixty-two years of marriage to Mamaw-
what a living legacy you have given us all.  You both have taught us,
and have shown by example, to put God first, family second, and to
simply love one another through good times and bad- and be
sure to throw a few laughs in each day- it's good medicine.
THANK YOU MAMAW AND PAPS- WE LOVE YOU BOTH!!!
