Can you remember a sweet tea?

It was a FULL day in Marathon, FL. I'll let the pictures tell the story...
Pretty as a peacock at the Dolphin Research Center.
No, WAIT! Emily's as pretty as a peacock at the Dolphin Research Center.
Even prettier...
...and then there's Jackson.  We don't know about him!
What we really came to DRC for, the dolphins!
Emily, Jackson, and Jay...meet Molly :)
Wave to Molly, kids!  "Hi, Molly!"
Well, hello, Molly.  Aren't you a pretty girl?!
The first attempt at Molly meeting Jackson frightened him.  Molly sensed
Jackson was getting upset and she backed away from the dock and just
kept looking at him until he settled down.  He did; look at that grin!
Look guys, I'm a shark!
Doing tricks...lots of them :)
Molly knows lots of tricks...she played "pull my finger"
(flipper) and she brought me a present.  She couldn't
find a toy, or shell, or scarf, so she brought me
some seaweed wrapped around her bottle nose!
...and then there's baby Reece with Aunt Emily.  So sweet.
Jackson <3'd the splash park :)
After lunch at the Hurricane, we hung out at the pool.  It was so hot, we
pretty much hung out IN the pool.  The sun was scorching!
Then we had the bright idea to pile five of us in the dink (a 2 1/2 horse
motor, mind you) and take it all the way to Salty's by the seven
mile bridge.  While it was choppy,  thankfully the wind was behind us.
It was the Blues Brothers tonight :)
Mustang Sally!  We always have to dance to that one.
"RIDE, SALLY, RIDE!!!"  Even Meg got in on the singing action, lol
They had their dance moves down pretty good- they were getting with it!
Em and I went upstairs during the second set to watch the sunset.
It was all the more beautiful with her in the picture.
Things started getting a little crazy when Edie's 80th birthday was
announced.  Border Patrol Keith gave her quite the dance to remember.
I was rather jealous of her calf muscles. This woman was in great shape...
and she seldom gets sick and "doesn't take one pill."  You go, Edie!
Polly jumped in for a little butt bumpin'
I have no earthly idea... all I had was sweet tea.
I promise.
Everybody was tuned up... the band, the patrons,
our waitress.  She kept ducking out back.  Some thought
she was smoking a crack pipe, others thought heroin,
all I know is it took four tries to simply get a sweet tea!
Emily got serenaded by Jake...something about, "I gave you seven
children, and you gave them all back", lol.
Then she got pulled up by Elwood to dance...much to her chagrin.
I didn't seem to mind.
Even Bryan got his annual case of happy feet :)
Still happy....
Uncle Donnie and Meagan REALLY had some
happy feet...they were kicking up some dust!
Evan, the random boat guy, cut in on the last song.
Guess he had happy feet, too, or other ideas...
until I pointed out my husband :)
We girls (plus Keith!) safely caught a ride home via Polly and Bryan's car,
while the boys took the more adventuresome route home.  Back in the
dink, in a strong headwind, and choppy waters...the dot in the
center of the picture would be Bryan's flashlight!
They were completely soaked to the skin, and the dink was nearly swamped!

Clearly, they had a good time as they sang themselves home again- BOYS!
And wouldn't you know, for the second time, Donnie found the one
plastic bag floating in the Gulf in his dinghy prop. What are the chances?!
After showers, cupcakes and milk and some Tylenol pm's, we all called it a night. Don't anybody call us in the morning, we're sleeping in!!! Well, as late as Willis will allow...

  5. Sandy! So good to hear from you :) We laughed it up over our day at Bahia Honda with Dan and Biddi. Unfortunately, all the fun in the sun is quickly coming to a close...we head for home May 1st. Gotta go home and make $$ so we can come back for MORE next year! Hope all is well with you and your family.
