So much to see and do in just three days

We have had Brian (from MZWC) and his friend, Steve, visiting us the last three days here in paradise. They arrived Monday at about lunch time, and just left early this evening (Thursday). They hit the ground with both feet running, and managed to cram a whole lot of adventures and many firsts in the last few days. There are so many good pictures, that I will simply let them do the talking for me. You may want to grab a coke or a cup of coffee, this could take a while!
The boys are looking like Cuban
representantes, the hats compliments
of Brian. (I got a yummy candle!)
After a quick lunch, we headed out for a sail.  It was both guys' first time on a sailboat.  I think Brian really enjoyed it- he's all smiles.  The folks on the other end of the cell phone? Ummm... not so much :/
Steve took his turn at the wheel.  Both of them discovered that sailing is a whole different breed of animal.  You just can't simply push the throttle down to go!
Our friends, Don and Sandy, came out on their MacGregor25 to
take some photos of us...Marquesa looks pretty.

The wind really blew, and of course we had all the sails thrown out.
We needed some rail meat to hold her down! Before long, Willis threw up:/

Still, a beautiful day to be out on the water.
Tuesday morning dawned with threatening looking skies.  I fed the boys blueberry pancakes and sausage, and they left for Daffy's to buy bait and sandwiches from the deli.  It's a good thing they took their foulies with them as several showers passed through in the morning.  By afternoon, though, the sun came out and they dried out.  Steve and Brian went on Dick's boat, and they caught their limit of yellowtail snapper.  Donnie went on Kenny's boat with Ken Jr., and they also had a good day.

Brian is at the helm of Dick's boat...notice the front moving in from the left?
Look closely, you'll see the seven mile bridge in the distance.  It looks
like the boys were about five miles offshore on the Atlantic side.

Poor Steve was so seasick...chumming for fish with blueberry pancakes.
Dick said, "You're running the fish off! Fish don't like blueberries!"
He was a trooper; sick and soaking wet, he was still fishing.  Here
he caught a rainboaw parrotfish- pretty on the reef, not fit to eat.
Brian caught a nice black grouper.  Delicious to
eat, but they're out of season...back it went.
Something bigger chomped his yellowtail snapper- yikes!
They caught several remoras- double yikes!  These are suckerfish that
hang off the side of sharks.  Something bigger was definitely in the water!
They caught their limit of yellowtail snapper each day. Good eatin'!
This one looks like a shad to me, I could be wrong.
They're good for grinding up into chum- without blueberries.
They must have been in closer to the reef.  This is a porkfish.

The guys were visited by a pair of dolphins, too.
The boys had a pretty ride in as the sun was going down.
Steve and Brian joined us for Taco Tuesday after they got done cleaning fish.
It was such a beautiful full moon, we went and walked the seven mile bridge.
Me and my honey...
On Wednesday I picked up Mom from the airport on my all day trip to Miami, and they guys went fishing again.  On Thursday, we had a picnic for Matt for his birthday.  It was perfect weather :)
Big Ron, Kenny, Don, and Danny...shooting the bull with Chuck and Ken.
Wally took over grilling the dogs for us.  We had a nice picnic with chips,
baked beans, fresh fruit, lobster dip, and of course...
BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!
The birthday boy, Matt, with his beautiful wife, Karie.
The ocean breeze helped him blow out the candles :)
One gallon Don brought out the voodoo juice, and Lucky imbibed...
Some went to the pool, some played hillbilly golf, Donnie took Steve and
Brian for a wild and wet dinghy ride to Faro Blanca, and we taught
Biddi and Sandy how to play dominoes :)

While the boys got a look at jurassic haunted marina...

Paps was the winner in a fierce game of dominoes! (Look @ Fran, lol)
And if the boys, Steve and Brian, did not get to see
and do enough cool stuff in just three days, look
who showed up at the marina to send them off :)
She was a thirsty girl.
As we bid her goodbye, we said our goodbyes to the boys...
I think it's safe to say they had a great vacation!
