This is the position Willis was in when we woke up this morning. Keep this in mind- it will become significant later today, as the pieces of the puzzle all begin to fall into place. |
I was cleaning the galley after breakfast, when I heard Bonnie on the docks say, "Here's a manatee!" |
That's a pretty sweet face... |
Of course, I had to get in on the action :) |
This gentle giant, at least ten feet long, and about 1000 lbs., flopped on his back like a Willis...awwww..... |
Time to break out the new bikini and work on some tan lines! |
The fisherman were out pulling lobster pots today. |
It got a little bouncy once we crossed from the Gulf side into the Atlantic. |
We turned into that 20-30 mph ENE wind, too. My hair was a tangled mess. |
The wind helped to turn the boat up against the dock. Danny can 'park' Biddi and the Beast' like a champ :) |
Ready for lunch! |
The deep fried key lime cheesecake, easily enough for two people. Only the Best. Dessert. EVER. |
This is the grand dame docked at the end of Marathon Marina. |
We got home to find lots of prezzies in our cockpit! Gotta love free shipping through Amazon :) Most of this is 'stuff' for the ditch bag and the Bahamas trip in April. |
Donnie came home and got wet, in search of something good to eat, while I went searching for a MIA Willy T... |
Donnie, Danny, and I staged an intervention at 2130. He was having none of it. He can be a really stubborn puss when we wants to be. |
By the time we got home, this is where we found him.... sleeping it off. So Willis' day ended pretty much ended the way it had started. At least now we know WHY. |
