Things have been rather hectic since I picked up Mom on Wednesday. This morning, we woke up to yet another downpour. What is up with the weather?! This is supposed to be the dry season! At least the front moves through pretty quickly, but there always seems to be another one right behind it. Donnie and I both got busy on the boat today...Marquesa was in need of a deep cleaning.Mom relaxed in the sun and wondered if we always work so hard! The boat had been seriously neglected with company- it happens. |
We took Mom on a dinghy ride to Faro Blanca (aka jurassic haunted lighthouse and marina). Look at this bad boy. Eeeek! |
Such a creepy (but cool) place to dink around... |
Meet the dockmaster, Igor. He ate the previous dockmaster, Bill, in the months following Hurricane Wilma. (he was VERY hungry). Mom was not pleased at how close Donnie took her to these creatures. |
In all of his iguana ugliness, his colors are beautiful. Looks like somebody got a hold of his tail...alot of it is missing. |
On our way back to Banana Bay, we saw four dolphins. It looked like two mommas and two babies. The one momma's dorsal fin looked as if it had been bit by a shark. |
Mommas and babies...awww..... |
I swear this baby looked me right in the eye :) God love it. You can see the blow hole spit! |
Mom really got a kick out of seeing them swim so close to us. |
Beautiful evening sky on the way home, but it looks as if more weather is on the way. |
Rounding past the island as we head in to Banana Bay. The sun won't be setting off of our bow until March. Then I hope we'll get to see the green flash again this year! |
Hello Grandma ShooHoo!!! |
Getting Grandma out of the dinghy was nearly disasterous...her butt almost hit the water! At least she was a good sport about it, lol |
Willis witnessed the whole escapade, and was LHAO!!! Such a sassafras... |
After dishes, I walked Mom back to her room, Donnie took a hot tub, and it was time to call it a night.
Looks like Willis has decided to go to bed on our new lawn chairs. (a parting gift from Steve, thanks buddy!) G'nite all! |
