Ft. Lauderdale

Today's order of business was simple enough...it was a play day.  We left for Ft. Lauderdale this morning to go visit our friends Dan & Biddi that we met here at Banana Bay.  They are currently staying at Dania Beach, FL, not three miles from the Ft. Lauderdale airport.  Emily was due to fly in this evening, so that left the day free for some fun in the sun.  We got in at about lunchtime, and headed to Le Tub...burgers that are even better than Burdines!

How many grown men does it take to purchase a parking pass?!

Very cool place, built in the mid-70's from floatsam the owner gathered on
Hollywood Beach on his early morning jogs.  Strange concept; toilets,
bathtubs, driftwood, plants, palms, and fishing bouys!

It was beautifully landscaped...all in toilets,
bathtubs, or hand sinks!

After lunch we carted all of our crap to the beach in Dan's little red wagon.

I came face to face with Marmaduke along the way.  Actually, meet Bob.

Bob stands 6'5" and weighs 180 lbs.  His dog bed is a couch. Wow.
Poor Bob is so big, he's deathly afraid of water...he can't swim.
He's bigger than most ponies you could saddle and ride.

We had a wonderful afternoon at the beach!

Sadly, it was time to go...but the good news?

The good news is we got to bring Emily "home" tonight- yay!!!
